Peticolas is a small Dallas-owned and -operated brewery.
Peticolas beer is only distributed in the DFW area. They don’t bottle or can their beer because they believe draft is the best way to taste their beer. You will only find their beer in restaurants and bars throughout the DFW area. They now have a taproom attached to their brewery so that you can go and enjoy their beer right where it’s made. The taproom is open 4 days a week. The brewery tours are every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.
If you want to do the tour, you can do so without paying for the glass and tokens. But if you would like to keep the glass, get 3 free beer tokens, and go on the tour you have to pay $10. If you are hanging out with friends in the taproom, you’re allowed to walk around the brewery area and see where their beer is made and processed. If you decide to do the tour, it’s short and sweet. They give you a brief history of the company and then how they make beer. It’s not a large facility so there’s not a lot of walking around or going into great detail.
They have 16 beers on tap in the taproom. There are also small satellite bars to use your tokens in the brewery. Out of all the beers that I tried, I really enjoyed It’s Always Something, which is a Belgian Dark Strong Ale. There is a featured restaurant or food truck outside so that you can grab lunch, dinner or just a snack. They also have a merchandise area to buy jerseys, shirts, tin signs, glasses, and other Peticolas merch.
