Vietnamese Street Food with a Texas Twist
Cris and John is in the sliver of Dallas that meets Addison before Belt Line. It’s tucked away in an unassuming shopping strip. Inside is clean and muralled with inviting art. The space is small so becomes crowded at lunch.
Though you can order a traditional Bahn Mi (which is delicious and messy), they’re claim to fame is the Texas-Vietnamese mashups. You can order a Phorrito, Ramenritto, Phodilla, Cafe Churros, and Horchata with added Boba. If you want to try want of these but aren’t too adventurous, I’d suggest the Phodilla. It is similar to a Bahn Mi, just fried in a tortilla.
Take the time to enjoy lunch and check out Cris and John.
